Web Hosting - For the restaurant & hospitality sector

Hosting is where your web site lives allowing it to be delivered over the Internet for your customers to see and use.

This is an important decision to ensure your web site is delivered reliably and effectively. There are many sub standard hosting services available in the market place.

Eat Out Designs has employed its 30 years of experience in IT infrastructure to select the appropriate hosting services for our customers. There are many factors to consider for hosting. The capabilities of the hosting services we have selected are amongst the best in the industry.

Connectivity

With three locations the hosting service ensures that all customers benefit from the widest possible choice of connectivity providers. That's why the facility has a fully redundant, dedicated, dual fibre ring at Gigabit Ethernet speeds. Through this link, the facility provides reliable 10mbps connection between all three sites totally.

This means your site can access all the main connectivity providers in the UK spread across the facilities, even if your web site is not in the same building.

Fire Detection/Suppression

Very Early Smoke Detection Apparatus (VESDA) is installed in every facility. These highly sensitive aspirating smoke detectors are linked to the Building Management system which is monitored continually from a network operations centre, this provide very early detection to help avoid fire, loss and business disruption. This is coupled with a gas based fire retardant that is environmentally friendly, to put out fires instantly, without damaging equipment.

Power

Our policy guarantees all customers a redundant high-capacity, stable and reliable power supply, with easy scalable expansion in the future. On-site generation deals with both customer and plant load whilst recharging the UPS.

All the facilities are built to at least an N+1 standard; put simply, this means that if two generators are required to provide non-stop power, then there'll be three installed. So rather than guaranteeing 99.99% availability, the guarantee is 100%.

Air Conditioning

To ensure optimum performance, all data floors are maintained at a constant 21°C ± 2°C and relative humidity is kept at 50% ± 10%. Both are continually monitored via the BMS.
Physical Security

When it comes to security, the facilities can't be compromised. The data centre feature totally comprehensive 24/7 security to keep all equipment 100% safe. This means the facility has the protection of security barriers, 24x7x365 monitoring by on-site personnel to include visual verification of all persons entering the building, CCTV video camera surveillance and a security breach alarm provides the control room with information.
Management System

All the facilities operate computerised building management systems that monitor and remotely operate sensors covering electrical, mechanical, fire detection and leak detection systems.
Intelligent Hands

There are on-site experienced technicians available 24x7x365 to enable rapid deployment of your kit, or help sort out anything from a simple tape rotation to a complex problem affecting hardware or software from all major vendors.
Access

Access to the buildings, data floors and individual area's are via individually programmed Proximity Access Cards (PAC), usage of the PAC is logged centrally by time and date. The cards cannot be used by anyone else, whenever you swipe your card tag over the sensors to gain access to the building, your digital photograph will be displayed on the security systems which are continuously monitored by on-site technicians. The technicians will then verify the information and only when satisfied, allow access.
Server Environment

The hardware and software that actually delivers your web site is built with high levels of resilience. This means if a component fails the servers continue to run in most situations. The small number of areas where downtime is a possibility robust support procedures have been put in place to restore full operation rapidly.
